I am a member of Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War in Wisconsin, and have been part of an extensive project to catalog the names of 900 Union veterans buried in one of the largest cemeteries in Milwaukee. One of them is Garth WIlkinson James, wounded at Fort Wagner. I entered him in the SUVCW database today, and was surprised to see nobody had done it earlier.

We would be happy to send you a picture of his grave and to show you his listing in the database.
